Bakeries

Bakeries are real institutions in São Paulo and they gained status. To have a hearty breakfast or to satisfy the hunger after a night out, diverse bakeries remain open for 24 hours. Benjamin Abraão has stores in Jardins and in Higienópolis. What is classic of the establishment is croissants, mainly that of ham served with coffee or juice. The bakery Bella Paulista, place much visited by the gay public, close to Rua Augusta, has cellar, pizza parlor and offers breakfast buffet with diverse breads and cakes.

For lunch

São Paulo has restaurants that are quite visited, which put together good gastronomy, with quality in service and impeccable decorations. If you are looking for something more elegant, go to Ritz, which offers fast dishes and hamburgers in a modern, excited atmosphere and meeting point of wellgroomed gays in their thirties. Is the objective to eat and to have fun in a more alternative space? The restaurant Chez MIS, inside the Museum of Image and Sound is the best choice. Onyx tables, leather couches and glass walls give a sophisticated tone to the place which presents even a lovely view toward the museum’s garden. For a more romantic meal, go to Zeffiro which occupies an old mansion with a rustic decoration and presents an excellent cost benefit ratio of the dishes.
